How Our American Shorthair Cats Develop Over Time

This was a litter of classic silver tabby American Shorthairs and black smokes. We will follow the development of one of the classic silvers. You can see that in the beginning their silver is very fine and difficult to see. Over the next couple of years the silver spreads and their black guard hairs disappear.
